Dean and Dan Caten chose an 80s rockstar concert format to present their DSquared2 Fall 2019 collection offering a fun, entertaining and unconventional fashion experience.

The duo piled on plaid, tie-dye, faux fur, miniskirts, denim, and unconventional outerwear in what may be their most fearless offering to date. The clothes, in-line with their maximalist aesthetic was a combination of streetwear opulence, winter sports, and nouveau-grunge.

“Our keywords are steep, Nirvana, and opulence,” says co-designer Dean Caten. “Steep giving you 2,000 meters above sea level, you know, snowboarders…” His twin/co-designer Dan continued, “and Nirvana isn’t really like the grunge of back then, but there’s some element of it, some plaids; we’re Canadian after all. And the opulence…well…she’s kind of trashy and rock-y, together…It’s alpine glam Seattle!”
