Men in London are embracing color and print for spring/summer 2015 in a way not previously seen since the 60s. Although not new, since the 1980s were equally notorious for wild prints of all kinds, the Peacock experiment especially marks this spring summer season. Cheeky prints have become wildly popular and convey a playful modern attitude. Designers are encouraging the trend for spring by experimenting with vibrantly colored prints in everything from shirts to trousers, suiting, athlesiure wear and the one piece boiler jumpsuit.

At Christopher Raeburn the classic suit gets completely revamped with an added sporty edge.  His printed flannel blazer with matching shorts makes a statement, when paired with ultra clean white sneakers.  For evening, Moschino’s fitted black on black printed jacket and trousers are adorned with gold dollar signs. Again, great pieces to invest in and mix and match with other neutrals.

For the music festival set, coordinate your favorite denim piece with James Long’s printed athletic shorts or Moschino’s soda pop themed blazer and trousers with a printed tee. This season is especially rife with oriental themes, because they provide a swagger that sets you apart from the rest. You too can stand out by mixing printed silk pieces from Paul Smith with calm, neutral colors for the perfect sartorial statement. To get the look just right, be sure to incorporate a minimal shoe.

Richard Nicoll combines streetwear and geometric patchwork on shirts using a mix of knits, ginghams, woven fabrics and tartan plaids. Many closely mimic the look of chambray—which can be effortlessly worn with a classic pair of Adidas. All of a sudden, pinstripes are the perfect pattern for the season. And there is something striking and refreshing about the intricateness of Mathew Miller’s pinstriped tops and bottoms. Miller creates an onslaught of depth and contrast with just the right amount of rebellion.

Tunics are also big for spring and are being revamped to layer over this season’s must have staple, tailored shorts, slim jogging pants, all of course paired with the ubiquitous white trainers. Xander Zhou’s outspoken tunic is monogrammed repeatedly with the words “Ah,” which is the quintessential statement for spring.
