What to Wear: The Best Men London Trends for Spring 2014

Spring 2014 - Menswear Tunics

Part streetwear, part Eastern influence, the tunic emerged as one of the top menswear trends on the spring runways. This season’s tunics for men are stylish, wearable and even minimal.

It was most predominantly seen in London from designers like Xander Zhou, Alexander McQueen, J.W. Anderson and Vivienne Westwood who paired long shirts and knits with everything from shorts to elegantly tailored trousers.

Victorian ceremonial dress is alive and well at Alexander McQueen and is as intensely beautiful as ever with morning suits and special occasion wear for men. Creative Director, Sarah Burton imagined a well dressed dandy’s rite of passage as she sent out slick double breasted lace jackets with silk linings and gold buttons, as well as washed ivory silk tunics and rose-lace waistcoats worn with poplin short sleeved shirts and the house signature skull jacquard jackets.
