It’s a Man’s World at John Varvatos Fall 2013

John Varvatos unveiled a fresh new perspective on color for Fall-Winter 2013 by merging New York cool with English Dandyism resulting in one of his best mens collection to date. Varvatos opted for non-traditional silhouettes offering ultra slim tailored silhouettes rendered in luscious fabrics like luxurious velvet, English tweed, and wool bonded with sleek leather. Elegant gray and black served as the building block for the collection, then came vivid oxbloods, electrifying blues, and iridescent royal purples which gave the collection a shock of color.

John Varvatos perpetually evokes a cool rocker vibe due to his close association with top bands and musicians. Among the irreverantly cool standouts from the collection are a cropped ombre wool jacket with graduating color layered over a long black tee and slim fitting trousers topped-off with a pair of sturdy combat boots and a multi-tone double-breasted tweed jacket with black leather sleeves over a crisp white shirt and black wool trousers. Cool ombre three-piece suits came complete with sartorial outerwear pieces.

Electrifying color permeated his lineup as Varvatos sent out an oxblood tweed jack layered over a v-neck sweater worn with burgundy trousers, and a skinny three piece suit in head-to-toe Cerulean blue.
John Varvatos fall/winter 2013 collection celebrated an undisputed rock heritage subtly infused with the soul of an Englishman.
