The Best Low Top Sneakers for Spring 2017

The Essential Neutral Colored Low Top

Soft-textured suede was everywhere on the men’s runways for Spring 2017.  Designers seemed to embrace a more casual message, with shoes reworked into less-sleek, more luxurious finishes. The essential low-top court kick was further elevated in a neutral color palette in supple suede and leather finishes. White low-top courts were still everywhere this season, but suede low-tops dominated.

Tod’s offered theirs in a rainbow of colors, while other brands, including Neil Barrett and Pal Zileri got more sophisticated. Suede low-tops got a summery lift in shades of camel, brown and olive green at Oliver Spencer, while suede sneakers got dressed up at Tom Ford. Palm Angels also showed suede trainers in subdued yellow and sand colors. Gianvito Rossi,  Common Projects, and Lanvin offer the neutral suede in a more traditional street sneaker, while John Lobb and Tods added suede to a sportier trainer for spring.
