Richard James All Out Lush Parade of Color for Spring / Summer 2016

Richard James Spring 2016 Men’s

Richard James Spring 2016 Men’s collection was flush with strong floral patterns that practically lit up the runway. The creative director Toby Lamb drew inspiration from the jungles of Mexico and surrealist artist Edward James. It was Edward James’s art installation coined “Las Pozas.” a series of large  concrete structures built in the middle of Mexico’s Sierra Madre’s Jungle. The jungle inspiration can be seen in the use of hot house floral patterns seen throughout the collection. Beautifully patterned suits, blazers, shirts, bow ties and shoes have all been enhanced with detailed patterns like vine leaves and bougainvillea flowers alongside banana leaves, giving the collection a steamy, exuberant sex appeal.  The tropical forest theme came in a palette of vibrant colors, well suited to the summer season.

Lamb delivered big time with his series of coordinated ensembles as well as separates in bright hues, luxe fabrics with an impeccable Savile Row fit
