The Spring 2018 Men’s Shows Lead the Way in Diversity

Models of Color & Diversity Ruled At New York Men’s Fashion Week for Spring 2018

This season, every single New York men’s show included at least one model of color or had a solid representation of Latino and African American models present on the runway. The men’s shows featured almost 50 percent more models of color at shows like Todd Snyder, EFM, Sanchez Kane and Parke & Ronen, with all black run runway model castings at Gustav von Aschenbach, Landlord and Rochambeau. That means the New York Men’s Spring 2018 were the most diverse ever. But the NYFW Spring 2018 shows stood out in another way: for the first time ever, every single runway included at least one or more models of color. The brands who led the way in diversity this season include Todd Snyder, Kenneth Ning, EFM, Carlos Campos, Luar, Robert Geller, Patrik Ervell, Janh Koy, Landlord, Ovadia & Sons, Raun LaRose, Palmier du Mal, and Rochambeau.
