General Idea Fall 2017: High End Streetwear

GENERAL IDEA’S HIGH END STREETWEAR

This season Korean designer Bumsuk Choi of General Idea, takes to the streets with sharply cut architectural silhouettes and oversize knits in shades of gray, crimson red, black and navy. Choi is an artist when it comes to color and the way he plays with texture and volume in his collection is nothing short of sublime. The result is something bold and striking, but at the same time, his clothes evoke a current now-ness.  It’s not hard to see why General idea’s collections have quickly been snapped up by some  high end heavy-hitting boutiques, including Oak and Takashimaya.

“We are evolving from Homo to Phono Sapiens. Just like hippies, we are full of freedom, coexistence and peace. We declare our generation “Nippies” [net+hippies].” – Bumsuk Choi, Designer
