Peter Som came from a Chinese descent and grew up in San Francisco to architects parents. At a young age, they instilled in him the concept of purity of form, function and composition that eventually became his trademarks for his collection.
His clothes are designs for real women with the idea of being effortless, sleek and sophisticated. He had worked for many well known designers including Bill Blass, Michael Kors and Calvin Klein.
Som was recognized as a rising young talent in their Scholarship Competition by the CFDA.
