Marissa Webb hometown was in Korea and was adopted at the early age of four along with her three biological siblings. She was then raised in the United States and was accepted to Rutgers University to study philosophy. She later changed her mind and transferred to Fashion Institute of Technology in New York.
She worked at J.Crew for 11 years as Head of Womenswear and Accessories Design. Webb eventually branched out and established her own business to design full-time.
