Jason Wu is a Manhattan-based American fashion designer who was originally born in Taiwan. He learned how to sew, draft patterns and sketch in fashion proportions by using doll as mannequins at the early age of nine. After his senior year of high school in Paris he enrolled in Parson’s School of Design in New York.
Jason’s collection is available and sold in over 170 retailers internationally and he dresses some of the most influential women including first lady Michelle Obama.
He was a finalist in the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund in 2008, won the Swarovski Award for Womenswear in 2010 and was nominated for the CFDA/Swarovski Award for Accessory Design. Jason was named Artistic Director of Hugo Boss in women ready-to-wear and accessory collection in 2013.
