Doo-Ri Chung

Doo-Ri Chung was born in South Korea and her family emigrated to New Jersey when she was young. She graduated from Parson’s in New York and was awarded with the school’s designer of the year award. She went on to work for popular labels such as Banana Republic and Geoffrey Beene.

Doo-Ri won the Swarovski’s Perry Ellis Award for emerging talent in women’s wear from the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA)  and the Council of Fashion Designers of America/Vogue Fashion Fund in 2006.

Her collection is known for its sophisticated, flattering, and sometimes edgy style. She is well known for her expertise in draping, especially jersey fabric.
