Andrew Gn was born in Singapore in 1966, the youngest of three of three boys and two girls.  As a young man he studied the classics of Western civilization, Asian culture and languages. Among his favorite subjects   were history and art. His parents were connoisseurs who collected antique furniture, porcelain and textiles which also became one of his serious pursuits.

In 1986,  While majoring in Fashion Design at Central Saint Martin  he won the French Connection design award and attended Parsons School of Design  in New York for a term.  After completing his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1989.  Andrew moved to Milan to attend the Domus Academy.  His professors there included Romeo Gigli, Luciano Soprani, Anna Piaggi and Gianfranco Ferre.  After he received his Masters of Art in 1992, Andrew accepted a position assisting Emanuel Ungaro in Paris.

In 1996, Andrew went out on his own, launching the ANDREW GN label  which is  manufactured in France. He known for his East-meets-West design aesthetic, and love of extravagant fabrics, exuberant colors and exquisite couture detailing.  Andrew Gn’s ready-to-wear is nothing short of spectacular. His attention to fine  detail, craftsmanship and immaculate tailoring has made him one of the prominent fashion designers in the world. He draws inspiration from history, architecture, decorative arts, and the bohemian mix of the 60s, 70s and 80s styles to arrive at chic, eclectic and ultra-feminine silhouettes for each season.

After a year as an assistant to Monsieur Emanuel Ungaro, Andrew launched his first collection in 1996 under the name “Andrew Gn” that manufactured mainly in France. His designs are best known for the East-meets-West aesthetics with plush fabrics, exuberant use of colors and beautiful couture detailing.

His experiences at Ungaro combined with his incredible knowledge in fashion studies as well as art provided him with incomparable training, technical skills, precision and disciplines.

Andrew also started an accessories collection apart from his women’s wear line. His style of designs include “Aztec” and “Art-Deco” inspired rings and bracelets.

Many stores in New York and around the world carry the Andrew Gn label Bergdorf Goodman, Barney’s New York, Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue all stock Andrew Gn label.

Celebrities seen wearing  Andrew Gn include Celine Dion,  Sarah Jessica Parker and Gwyneth Paltrow just to name a few.
