The Top Men’s Trends Fall 2017: Cyber-Punk Dystopian Chic

Rochambeau punk

The punk aesthetic is back and stronger than ever with a new cyber-punk dystopian tinge. The fresh wave of post apocalyptic scenes seen on the runway also include a new generation of multi-dimensional garments that have been transformed with multiple straps, clasps, rip cords, belts and buckles, etc. and re-purposed in an entirely new way.  Styled with all the things you may need necessary for an impending apocalyptic invasion.  Blame many of the new films depicting the end of days and dystopians living on the brink of mayhem, from Alien Covenant to Mad Max: Fury Road, to the new installment of Blade Runner 2049. One thing is certain, punk never looked so good.

Stomping Out in Punk Shoes

Punk shoes F17

The coolest men’s shoes this season are less about refinement and more about stomping it out.  At the fall 2017 men’s collection in Milan, DSquared2, Nº21, and Ferragamo  featured combat lace-ups boots studded with metal hardware and finished with heavy lug soles. The heavy lug soled shoe has been a recurring trend we’ve seen on all the men’s runways like Dior Homme, Commes des Garcons, Dsquared2, Kenneth Ning, Rochambeau, Patrik Ervell, and Tim Coppens among others. These look great styled with graphic sweaters, turtlenecks, camo-print parkas and the duffle coats that are all the rage this fall. The tricked out combat boots are all set to withstand the impending winter.
