Charles Smith II Spring 2016

On what was arguably one of the hottest days of summer thus far, Charles Smith II presented his Spring 2016 collection in a cavernous venue that doubles as a professional skateboard facility.  A handsome, high fashion crowd braved the blistering one hundred degree heat to witness a remarkable modern reiteration of futuristic, youth-oriented silhouettes with trapezoidal, lines. The collection featured proportionate, well-cut shapes, gravity defying skirts and smartly constructed separates rendered in a monochromatic black and white palette. White was a predominate theme throughout the show.  The monochrome palette elevated his T-shirt dresses with large utilitarian pockets.
