Givenchy Fall 2014: Riccardo Tisci’s Tribal Mens Collection

African tribes and technology served as inspiration for Riccardo Tisci’s latest collection. It was Tisci’s love letter to everything tribal and technology related. The designer gave his creations a cool and modern allure, making it totally irresistible. The ecclectic prints featured boom-boxes and spinning reels, all broken down to their inner mechanisms. Tribal colors and patterns came in blinding stripes that went from head to toe. The intensely bright color palette was saturated with primary colors like red, yellow, and blue.

Riccardo Tisci worked his usual silhouettes from previous seasons…rendered in precise cuts, sporty shorts or skirts layered over leggings with a sweatshirt or parka on top. While, most looks were completed with leather strap sandals and finished with tribal-like make-up. The collection’s prints were undoubtedly the stars of the show. Givenchy’s collection exudes an indisputable freedom to mix and match color with digital and ethnic prints.
