Pat McGrath’s Most Iconic Beauty Moments

Pat McGrath is perhaps the only makeup artist who lives up to the second word in her job title. She is infamous in fashion circles as the Velázquez of the beauty world. To the seemingly endless list of top-tier fashion houses from Dior to Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, and Givenchy, Pat McGrath is the creative force behind the beauty looks you see on the runways each season. From exaggerated plumed brows at Alexander McQueen to the glittering, fierce lace masks at Givenchy ‘s Spring 2016 show.  McGrath’s legion of model fans, who walk in those shows each season, refer to her as mother. The British powerhouse is also a much-loved confidante lending support and, naturally, makeup advice to those who sit in her chair.

And with the launch of her namesake brand of make-up, Pat McGrath Labs, she aims to bring artistic makeup to a bigger, and much wider audience of people who want to create their own spell binding effects. McGrath’s  kits often sell out, usually within minutes of launching online.  Her new release, Dark Star 006, is a galactic inspired smoky eye kit that includes highly pigmented eye colors, a cyber clear eye gloss, a matte black crayon and a blender brush. McGrath used these products to create bold eyes at the Versace and Anna Sui’s Fall 2017 shows. Dark Star 006 lab goes on sale April 11, 2017 at 12 pm ET exclusively at patmcgrath.com.
