Nanette Lepore-Inspired by the sun, sea and sky in the South of France, Nanette Lepore’s youthful Spring 2015 collection had no shortage of playful shift dresses, silk slips and eye catching swimsuits. The bold prints and beach inspired striped tops made us eager to book our summer vacation. Pattern blocked striped borders on swimsuits and dresses with a paisley bohemian print added a visual punch. The looks were fun and vibrant and were further enhanced by the energetic and cheerful soundtrack “Girls Just Want to Have Fun.” The models wore messy topknots on their heads with dramatic silvery white exaggerated eyeliner and nude matte lips. The fun continued throughout the show to the finale when Nanette’s daughter, Violet closed the show wearing a stunning black and white embroidered caftan and helped Nanette lead the conga line with the models and Nanette’s husband. The sun-kissed color palette ranged from powder blue, blush, to bright butter and sunshine yellow. The crisp white cotton frocks stood out amongst the array of pale colors, we especially coveted a white halter dress featuring a deep v bra top and button down skirt with high slits.
