Jeremy Scott’s 60s East Village Vixens Wear Daring Makeup

The daring makeup at Jeremy Scott spring 2016 show in New York was reminiscent of a 1960s East Village party girl. The look drew inspiration from iconic figures such as Amy Winehouse or perhaps a damsel from a John Waters film.  No look was complete without the extra oomph of a luxurious, giant wig and lots of hairspray. Enormous full-on bouffants were on full display  with big back-combed beehives adding an extra touch of luxury.

Makeup artist Kabuki used his penchant for creating graphic eye makeup to achieve an authentic retro look that resulted in playful 1960s styled vixens. The hand painted babydoll lashes were drawn on with MAC Blacktrack Fluidline gel,  and the look was finished with bright neon, coral lips for a refreshing pop of summer color.
