Zac Posen’s spring-summer 2013 collection is all about “glamour, elegance, and craft” Posen said right before he presented his collection. The designer put on a stellar show with a strong showing of supermodels including Naomi Campbell, Karolina Kurkova, and Angela Lindvall, who graced the runway wearing his fabulous creations.
Posen drew inspiration from American swans of yesteryear, but these clothes were made for today’s women. Posen wanted to celebrate a woman’s elegance, femininity and strength by dressing up a little more than the usual. For day, he sent out a parade of lovely skirt-suits and fitted flared skirt chiffon looks. A sweetheart-neck patchwork floral dress was among the standouts. After dark, Zac Posen showed us what “modern elegance” is all about as he sent out a jade-hued satin bodice tulle ball dress, and a floral show stopping creation with a chiffon overlay organza-over-taffeta skirt. He closed the show with a dramatic tiered white wedding gown, that was a dress that fairytale dreams are made of
