It’s official, witches are in! The occult has made it mainstream charming fashion followers everywhere.  In New York, Katie Gallagher’s witchy black hooded cloak over a transparent knee length dress with bell sleeves and winter branch embroidery captured the sentiment perfectly. Cushnie et Ochs appeared to be on the same wave length and offered dresses in taut, sleek proportions and a dazzling print reminiscent of light flowing through a dark forest of trees. Donna Karan joined the coven and sent out a a sinister looking black wool cape over a wrap skirt. Monique Lhuillier’s plunging, spiderweb dress with sweetheart neckline features embroidered lace on the sleeves and is paired with matching spiderweb leggings.

Rocco Barocco’s black, floor length long sleeved dress topped with an emerald green embroidered collar is the perfect look for an elegant modern sorceress. Versace’s bewitching one shoulder PVC dress is solid on one side and slashed on the other with a wicked spiderweb effect. Paris designers enchanted audiences with the promise of the supernatural. Rick Owens was certainly on message with his white fur trimmed cape over a short shift with knee high boots evoking a dark and smouldering powerful force.

Yohji Yomamoto black strapless dress with an attached faux fur trimmed cape on one shoulder was also on point. While Gareth Pugh’s stunning, black medieval gown with woven bodice and interwoven strips of cellophane gave the illusion of feathers with sprouted tufts at the shoulders and hem.
