A dark spin on traditional summer florals emerged on the catwalk in Milan. Gucci and Prada emphasized the masculinity of their pieces by using darker more Gothic colored floral prints. Prada even titled her show “Menacing Paradise, ” that referenced the backdrop and staging for her show which appeared reminiscent of Vietnam. A tropical paradise that was previously a war zone.
Marc Jacobs and Versace played with youthful, vibrant colors while Dolce & Gabbana incorporated Grecian prints and muted floral designs into their collection. Diesel Black Gold maintained its bad boy style with monochromatic tone on tone flowers that were scaled back to allow the silhouettes to shine.
