In celebrating the ten-year anniversary of his fashion house, Giambattista Valli has just announced his first ever lip-color collection. Valli, drew from a range of hues from past collections to create a unique palette of five lipsticks that would flatter women of any skin tone. To bring his first makeup collection to life, he turned to the pros at MAC, who have worked with him backstage from the beginning.
From a pale sixties pink to a deep plum with additional shades of peony; mandarin; and warm, red rose, there is a lip color for every woman. The intense lipstick shades feature a matte finish and clever, elegant bullet tubes that are precisely color matched to the color inside. Add a matching Giambattista Valli lip gloss for evening to give a hint of shine. “The best thing about makeup is that a lipstick can really change your look. If you never wear color on your lips and then one day you wear red, everyone just goes ‘wow!’” Valli muses. “As a couture designer, part of my DNA are flowers and these lovely shades are dedicated to women that are in sync with their own femininity. They are not afraid to colour their lips with the color of fresh flowers and say I love you and kiss’ explains Valli. “ The Giambattista Valli collection debuts in stores July 9th, 2015.
