Tom Ford Spring 2018 Fucking Fabulous New York Fashion Week Mega Runway Show

For Tom Ford, “Fucking Fabulous” is not only the name of his new fragrance, it’s also a standard of living. Once upon a time, Ford aspired to it. Now, he’ll settle for nothing less.

Tom Ford kicked off New York Fashion Week with one hell of a sexy, show. His calculated decadence was rendered in a split theme between athletic-derived sportswear and goddess gowns. “I’ve been living in L.A. and people wear sports clothes in the daytime, and in the evening they wear mega eveningwear,” says Ford.  As for his take on the former, “It had to be luxe. And my woman has always been sexy. If you’re wearing some leather pants with just a swimsuit, it seems like the right thing.”

Ford’s crossover of athletica into daywear opened with a peak-shouldered pale pink satin tuxedo jacket over a liquid metallic top and shorts rolled at the hem. The sexy athleticism of tanks, rolled shorts and track pants mirrored Tom Ford’s time at Gucci, while the ultra micro-mini beaded “le smoking” dresses pointed to his Saint Laurent days. Ford’s jackets were confident, expertly cut, and when paired with a plunge-front, backless jumpsuit, drop dead sexy.

Millennial Pink Goes Glam
