Thom Browne Spring 2017: Pretty Pastels are a Thing for Spring
Thom Browne’s bathing beauties emerged from backstage in glamorous bathing gowns, complete with shower caps and matching handbags, The poolside display featured a bevy of Palm Beach Barbies with bouffant hairdo’s wearing brightly colored prints that hailed straight from the 1960s. Bright blue lipstick and large round or octogonal sunglasses disguised the heavily made up models’ faces, many of which were covered in an orangey tints that mimicked a spray on tan. The tableau setting combined with the stiff choreography of the models with their hands held up in doll-like poses set the tone for Thom Browne’s version of “Fun in the Sun.”
