Costume National’s Ennio Capasa’s collaboration with Death in Vegas’ front man Richard Fearless inspired the new wave collection and reinterpreted the 90s rocker spirit for men’s fashion.

From biker jackets with silver tipped collars to western shirts with a leather yoke and fringe accents to linen blouses with leather breastplates, no rocker is complete without a bit of leather, which was a focal point of Costume National’s unlined leather jackets and jackets with leather trimmed lapels. A leather jacket over a long skinny T-shirt (that is also right on trend for fall) and stovepipe leather trousers emphasized the iconic flair of musicians like Richard Fearless and Dave Gahan.

Capasa’s collection borrowed heavily from new designs commissioned for Depeche Mode’s latest world tour fusing the inner cowboy and the rocker by accessorizing the new wave looks with leather ankle boots and eccentricly shaped straw hats.

He utilized primarily black and white palette with splashes of turquoise and mustard and closed the show with a shimmering gold lurex tuxedo with coordinating gold leather shoes and a crisp black bow tie. The looks are distinctive and cool; yet clearly embody the rock DNA that is Costume National.
