Guillaume Meilland’s Debuts His First Menswear Collection for Salvatore Ferragamo

The new leisurely sartorial Fall 2017 Ferragamo collection is Guillaume Meilland’s first for the brand.  Meilland elevated the shoes and other leather staple items making them truly fashion forward and cutting edge by adding chunky, spiked rubber lug soles. The shoes were among the most coveted items, including lace-up oxfords shown in stunning eye-catching patinas with kiltie details, and Chelsea boots in distressed suede with a broken-in look. The models wore tailored high-waisted trousers matched with tucked-in oversized sweaters, biker and aviator jackets embellished with fur, and long classical overcoats.

Meilland has worked for a number of prestigious menswear brands including Yves Saint Laurent and Lanvin under Lucas Ossendrivjer and brings a fresh new perspective.  He blends Salvatore Ferragamo’s classic look with a younger and more leisurely style. “No influence is more present for me than that of Salvatore Ferragamo himself. His restless pursuit of of pioneering design with unrivaled craftsmanship, and the perfect fit feels even more relevant today,” says Meilland.
