3 Steps to Well Groomed Eyebrows

Few men will admit to it, but every man has to trims  or pluck a few hairs to keep rogue eyebrows in check. If eyes are the window to the soul, then eyebrows are the key to facial expressions, and the right eyebrows can give you the appearance of strength. For men, a strong brow conveys a bold, masculine attitude, but this can quickly go wrong with too many stray hairs, or an unruly uni-brow. This is why it is crucial to keep eyebrows neat and well groomed.  Below are a few of our tested, tried and true recommendations.

1. Consult

It is a good idea to first go to a professional or have your barber shape up your eyebrows to establish an idea shape before going at it alone. After your eyebrows are established in the most flattering shape for your face, they will be easier to maintain for a year or longer on your own.

2. Pluck

Tackle the problem at the root and pluck stray hairs above your brow every week or two, and make sure you buy a high quality pair of tweezers. It really makes a huge difference in how easy or difficult it is to define the edge of your eyebrows. It is also easier to pluck right after you get out of the shower when your pores are open and follicles are softened. This trick will also minimize irritation and redness.

3. Trim

Trimming is the name of the game. Not only can your eyebrows overgrow over time, they also need to be trimmed down as you get older. If your eyebrow hairs get too long, they will begin to curl  and look unruly, and become a distraction to the people talking to you. To avoid this carefully comb your eyebrows hairs upwards and use a smalls sharp pair of scissors to trim any hairs above the comb.
