The new status shoes are sneakers, and the most anticipated designer collabs are selling out fast, as in seconds, immediately after they drop. What makes these shoes worth the sky-high designer prices? Well for one the unmatched design and quality standards of world reknowned designers who are tweaking the average sneaker and reinterpreting them as exclusive, luxury footwear.

The exclusivity comes with the designer name, as well as a new experimental forays into unique color ways and use of materials. Not only are you getting one of a kind shoes in a limited production run, but the designers are transforming the norm-core staple into sleek kicks for the modern man. When designer shoes are involved, sneakerheads and designer shoe collectors embody commodity fetishism at its most competitive. It’s nearly impossible to get your hands on the suede Air Jordans by Public School NY or the stretch leather wrestling style boots on an Adidas sole by Rick Owens.
